Blown Away

There are 40 to 50 mph winds in Chicago today. I was motivated to get ready for work in a shorter amount of time so I would have the opportunity to head outdoors before being locked in my cubicle all day. I wanted to feel the wind on my face. I wanted to witness objects flying in the wind. I desired the feeling of being swept away.

Being lifted up and out of binding reality is appealing to me on this day. I hear a Lenny Kravitz song playing in my head. Yearning to be someplace where i am successful and can see the result of my hard work and dedication. Flying away letting all the past mishaps move on with the fallen leaves.
